The primary focus of the Senior Analyst: Accounting includes accounting and financial management, reporting, planning & analysis for the Commercial Leasing Department. Responsibilities include administration of the annual planning/budget process, monthly forecasting, variance analysis, capital planning & management, and financial performance reporting & tracking. Be a liaison with Corporate Accounting, Finance, and Resort Operations. Act as financial consultant to VP, Senior Finance Manager, Property Managers and Directors on business decisions for their lines of business. This position is based out of Avon, Colorado.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate tenant billing and reporting information

  • Prepare annual CAM/Property Tax reconciliations

  • Review HOA budgets to ensure appropriate commercial unit expense allocations and compliance with the CC&Rs

  • Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for Commercial Leasing Department

  • Oversee purchasing compliance, monitor OnBase for problem invoices

  • Maintain internal controls within the property and ensure proper accounting practices are followed (SOX compliance)

  • Prepare month end journal entries and reconciliations

  • Prepare documentation for use in monthly P&L reviews

  • Prepare and distribute financial summaries and reports

  • Provide variance analysis and commentary

  • Prepare departmental operating budgets, forecasts and capital budgets

  • Ensure rent roll reflects up to date and accurate information in AMTdirect

  • Track tenant sales and work with property managers to identify underlying trends both within each resort and across the portfolio

  • Maintain the capital project planning and administration process including return on investment analysis (ROI), capital packet development, periodic capital project balance summary reports, capital close and asset disposal

  • Assist property managers with expense forecasting to achieve budgeted contribution margin

  • Anticipate changes in the business and advise on efficiencies and improvements

  • Provide business support and new deal analysis

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 3-5 years in finance/accounting, commercial leasing experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • PeopleSoft Financials

  • Strong analytical, presentation, and leadership skills
