Beaver Creek Snowmaking has one of the largest and most complex snowmaking systems in North America. Our full-time year-round staff needs support running the business of the department while existing crews maintain the department's vast infrastructure. The Snowmaking Specialist Office Manager will support the maintenance and operations teams by taking responsibility for all administrative duties, the management of our inventory and documentation of all department materials, records and resources (including the reservoir). Administrative duties include but are not limited to payroll, purchasing, hiring, on/off-boarding, compliance, EE uniforms and inventory management. Additional responsibilities include assisting with on-hill operations as time allows. This is a full-time, year-round position with a structured schedule.
Assist department management with the hiring, on-boarding, and management of all snowmaking staff. Responsibilities include employee communication, on-boarding compliance, all training documentation, payroll and end of season processes.
Manage the scheduling and organization of training for all new and returning snowmakers.
Maintain inventory and maintenance records for all snowmaking equipment, machines and resources.
Assist in the creation and updating of all department manuals.
Support the Maintenance Techs with Reservoir documentation and annual compliance responsibilities.
Annually update all SDS records and ensure fire and life safety compliance in all snowmaking buildings.
Oversee the employee uniform and equipment programs.
Assist department management with EES and EE recognition programs.
Maintain strong communication and working relationships with other BC Mountain/Resort departments, including Grooming, Race, Vehicle Maintenance, Public Safety and HR.
Support the department managers and supervisors with other duties as assigned.
