At Vail Resorts Hospitality, we affectionately refer to our housekeeping staff as the "heart of the house!” By adhering to the highest quality of industry standards, our housekeeping staff ensures guest satisfaction every step of the way. We are hiring for our summer season and are looking to further enrich our talent in housekeeping! Looking for guest service oriented individuals who value cleanliness, are energetic, organized/methodical and want to reward hard work with some fun in a spectacular mountain community. The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining hallways, trash removal, stocking and maintaining supply rooms, delivering guest supplies and other cleaning duties.
Essential Job Functions:
Clean public areas - hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc.
Remove dirty linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take to the appropriate locations.
Assist sectional housekeepers as needed (i.e. moving furniture, rollaway beds, etc.)
Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
Deliver guest supplies as requested.
Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, closets and laundry room space.
Ensure that all the hallways are clear of trash and used room service trays have been taken to kitchen.
Report any maintenance issues in a timely manner to ensure all items are addressed quickly.
Comply with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation.
Ensure the department leads the charge in recycling efforts and environmental initiatives.
Perform any additional tasks or projects as required.
High School diploma or GED. -preferred
Previous housekeeping experience in property of similar size and quality. -preferred
Ability to effectively communicate in English to guests, vendors and employees. -preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. -required
Must be able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day. –required
Must be able to work weekends and holidays. –required
