The Direct Sales Cooridnator is a full time 12 month position responsible for assisting in all day-to-day procedures of Season Pass Direct Sales. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Operational Support for RPOS Usage at Retail Locations

  • Provide ongoing training and support to Direct Sales and VRR agents on processes and procedures such as RPOS, products, auditing, etc

  • Make judgment calls in line with Vail policy and reflective of management precedents as necessary

  • Receive inventory requests, and communicate to leads and store managers plan to resupply stores

  • Submit feedback to leads on audit packs to ensure future packs are in adherence with Vail Accounting policy Become an expert in RPOS in order to serve guests and staff properly

  • Assist in trouble shooting with IT issues that occur on location (zebra printer, receipt printer, etc.), and contact ITHelp Desk on behalf of retail agents and direct sales staff

  • As necessary, provide guest service at locations to support agents and leads during busy periods

  • Work with leads to resolve problem applications in a timely manner

  • Identify and Coordinate Regional and Mountain Events

  • Secure storage locker to store event equipment through sales season

  • Prepare event materials and load event backpacks to distribute

  • Initiate communication between lead and agents with event details

  • Oversee staffing/scheduling changes

  • Ensure lodging and transportation are provided to agents/leads that qualify

  • Resupply storage locker based on inventory needs supplied by leads

  • Provide transactional details for Turn In Your Ticket transactions

  • Process applications from events

  • Provide personalized service to groups

  • Initiate communication with primary point of contact each season with groups having an established relationship

  • Provide weekly reporting to group contact from URL and mobile sales totals

  • Ensure group has marketing material and event equipment to support sales events

  • Work with group contact to outline process for getting applications to corporate for processing

  • Ensure group is aware of sales deadline, taking necessary steps to collect all event and sales materials

  • Submit sales totals and recipients of passes for comps to supervisor

Guidelines and Preferred Skills:

  • 1-3 Years in Customer Service Experience

  • RPOS knowledge preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Desire to learn about Vail Resorts business; passion for the ski industry and related business

  • Experience and Familiarity with Vail Resorts and Operations Preferred

  • Self-starter and quick learner

  • Strong Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word required; RPOS and PeopleSoft preferred

  • Desire to undertake projects tailored to interests and business needs

Position Requirements:

  • Supervisory Experience: None

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience

  • Licenses/Accreditations: Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record in order to pass Suburban Fleet driver qualification test

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
