The EpicPromise Grants Senior Specialist will:

  • Process and prepare emergency grant applications for review committee consideration including work with employee applicants and HR across the resorts;

  • Manage scholarship application process including applications, interviews and preparation of material for committee meetings;

  • Provide support for all Epic Promise outreach events including Foundation fundraisers, community, and volunteer events.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

The EpicPromise Foundation supports Vail Resorts employees and their dependents in times of need through emergency financial assistance and educational grants. The Foundation will provide $1M annually in employee grants.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Emergency Relief grant program

  • Vets all applications, interviews and works with applicants through the grant process

  • Provides timely and detailed information to the Emergency Relief Committee for review

  • Processes all emergency relief grants

  • Maintains accurate record keeping of all grants made

  • Updates and improves application and FAQ’s as needed

  • EpicPromise Scholars and Ascent programs

  • Prepares applications for Education Committee review

  • Works with Foundation Program Manager to refine application process and programming

  • Fulfills all awards and manages declines

  • Maintains accurate record keeping of all grants made

  • Updates and improves application and FAQ’s as needed

  • Foundation Administration

  • Works alongside Foundation staff to ensure timely acknowledgement of donors

  • Maintains accurate data regarding grants, applications and donor information

  • Performs timely data entry and takes responsibility for database management along with Outreach Manager

  • Provides accurate and timely reports utilizing database and grant tools

  • Community and Foundation

  • Spearheads EpicPromise Summit preparation and logistics to include agenda creation, travel arrangements, and content delivery

  • Provide support for all EpicPromise Outreach events including Foundation fundraisers, community events, SWAT Team events

  • Working alongside Program Manager, leads EpicPromise day preparation including site selection, volunteer management and logistics

Assist Program Manager with Community Grant program; tasks include application preparation and outreach

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management or communications preferred

• 3-5 years of program or volunteer management; experience with large scale events; experience with front line staff, managers and supervisors

• Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Comfort managing and developing a donor and grant management database.

• Spanish would be a great plus but not required
