The Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The Finance team drives comprehensive financial planning, forecasting and analysis to enable the company to align its resources with the achievement of its strategic goals - both long term and short term. The SG&A Finance team works closely with the CFO and all of the Executive Committee members of the Company to drive business insight to aid in strategic decision making. This high-visibility position has a high degree of accountability and reports to the Director of SG&A Finance and supports the financial processes and reporting for the SG&A finance function and key Executive Committee stakeholders.
Essential job responsibilities include:
Leads the planning and forecasting rhythms (long term strategic planning, annual capital budget, annual operating budget, and monthly forecasts) for respective areas.
Partner with key stakeholders within the organization to drive process improvement and timely and accurate reporting.
Provides financial analysis that delivers insight for business decisions to drive improved enterprise value.
Owns the financial forecasts and budgets for respective areas to ensure there is alignment on priorities and business outlook.
Contribute to the development of presentations to the Board of Directors and the Vail Resorts Executive Committee.
Effectively communicate results and insights in writing or verbally.
Play a leadership role in the integration of new planning and reporting technologies for more efficient and effective business analysis.
5+ years of experience in finance
Bachelor’s Degree required (MBA preferred), preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Demonstrated success in running core financial processes, models and analytics, and partnering with cross-functional teams across a broad organization.
