SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Systems Administrator role directly supports the company’s datacenters environment in a diverse technological ecosystem. The ideal candidate is someone that has some moderate experience administering systems and applications, with a low level of enterprise class experience. This position has a hand in maintaining systems performance, availability, integrity, and confidentiality across systems while growing in their experience and knowledge overall. The position will also support other IT projects within the IT Department and will cross train with other members of the IT team. The applicant will be challenged to grow, develop, and become a better Sysadmin! Personal responsibility, ownership, and thoughtful execution of work is paramount!
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Have a strong natural grasp for IT fundamentals at all levels of the OSI model with a basic understanding of ITIL concepts.
Responsible for maintaining a diversity of enterprise-class infrastructure systems with a team of peers in multiple environments across multiple co-located datacenters and cloud products.
Provision, maintain, and monitor the private and hybrid cloud virtualization platforms (VMware/Citrix), including troubleshooting issues in a complex compute, storage, and network environment.
Manage and maintain Microsoft and Linux operating environments, including common operating platforms, including SQL, IIS, Apache, AD, DHCP, DNS, etc. Powershell experience a plus.
Support SaaS products such as Office365, Proofpoint, and Azure and support the other IT teams in similar SaaS efforts.
Creating and maintain clearly written systems documentation for technical and/or nontechnical teams.
Comply with all current and future Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI-DSS IT standards and procedures relating to compliance-enforced systems, including maintenance and changes as necessary.
Support the company after-hours, weekends, and holidays in support of an on-call rotation as needed.
BA Degree in MIS or 3 years’ experience in similar role
Must have 3+ years of related experience in an IT role
Must have 2+ years of experience supporting other teams
MSA, MSCA, Citrix CCA (all optional)
Systems support understanding (Tier 2 or 3 support)
Availability for afterhours support and maintenance, on-call duties, including occasional travel to remote sites
Position is located in the Vail Resorts Broomfield Office
