Vail Resorts Vice President Corporate Human Resources in Broomfield, Colorado
The Vice President - Corporate Human Resources partners with business leaders to 1) drive business growth and profitability by using talent insights to drive business results, and 2) strategically elevate employee experience to optimize performance, engagement, retention, and career growth. This includes the Marketing, Sales & Communications function, which is responsible for a significant portion of the Vail Resort’s revenue, the Finance function, which includes the team responsible for driving the company’s M&A strategy, as well as the Human Resources, Information Technology and Legal functions. This role’s scope also includes Business HR accountability for our Hospitality and Retail business units.
S/he leads a team of Corporate HR business partners and collaborates across Vail Resorts to ensure that the experience is consistent and effective across all enterprise touchpoints.
This role is a member of the HR senior leadership team, accountable to the Chief HR Officer for developing and driving Vail Resorts’ overall HR strategic agenda, leading various strategic HR priorities and projects in support of the enterprise HR vision to “elevate the employee experience to drive Vail Resorts growth and profitability around the world.”
HR business partner : build and oversee long-term, data-driven, customer-centric HR strategies and programs that positively affect employee experience, leadership pipeline, and the company’s strategic and financial goals. Act as strategic talent advisor to corporate business leaders at the Executive Committee and Senior Leader level. Lead ongoing deployment of Vail Resorts’ HR programs, processes, and tools across corporate, Hospitality and Retail workforces including leadership development, team and organization effectiveness, talent and succession management, performance management, and employee engagement utilizing state of the art methodologies and delivery methods.
Consulting and change management : consult with leadership regarding talent opportunities and solutions, including integrations of newly acquired businesses and large-scale change programs.
Vail Resorts culture : champion Vail Resorts’ culture and core values as deployed throughout the employee experience. Working with business leaders, optimize the employee value proposition to achieve high performance and build a sustainable pipeline of high potential leaders.

12+ years of progressive HR, operations and/or consulting experience leading large and complex talent programs, and processes across a global footprint.
Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business administration, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree/MBA preferred.
Track record of delivering a successful strategies, plans, and programs based on competitive analysis, industry trends, and best practices, emerging technologies, and the company’s vision.
Strong executive presence and gravitas with a proven ability to influence and interact with executive leadership and cross functional teams.
Understanding of HR compliance and regulatory issues.
Excellent verbal, written, storytelling, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including comprehension, effective listening, and negotiating skills.
