Responsible for superior guest service and first class table maintenance. Applicant is responsible for anticipating guest dining needs prior to being asked. They will maintain order and cleanliness of dining area. Responsible for being a team player and communicating effectively with both front and back of the house. Professional appearance, excellent verbal communication skills, a track record of functioning effectively as part of a team and an ability to work in a fast paced environment. Part Time and Full Time positions available.

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for having a strong food background as well as having a detailed understanding of current menus

  • Responsible for completing open, close and side work as assigned

  • Consistently follows steps of the “service cycle” as outlined in F&B brand standards while interacting with and reading guests to ensure proper pacing and service.

  • Capable of multi-tasking and working at a fast but thorough pace.

  • Have comprehensive beer, wine and liquor knowledge and ability to adhere to all state liquor laws as well as company alcohol service policies.

  • Maintain a clean and neat workplace and dining room area; daily cleaning and side work tasks

Requirements:

  • Educational Requirements: HS Diploma or GED

  • Communication Requirements: Ability to speak, read and communicate clearly in English.

  • Excellent guest service skills: Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.

  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.

  • Cash handling experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, 6 + hours

  • Previous food and beverage experience

  • Previous wait staff experience

California Food Handlers Card – Required within 30 days of employment.Cost & training for certification provided by Kirkwood Mountain Dining.
