Cashiers are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service per company standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets. After guests have chosen their ski or snowboard rental equipment, the Lead Cashier is responsible for assisting guests check out at the cashwrap, kicking off a great day of skiing! Ensure that charges accurately reflect their selected items, and include any and all promotions or discounts. Provide a relaxing yet efficient checkout experience, helping guests take the final step as they prepare to spend their day on the hill. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Serve customers by establishing rapport, building customer confidence, providing accurate information, and promoting products through point of successful sale
Establish professional and personalized rapport with each customer upon contact; by phone or in person
Answer all questions, providing detailed information, and establishing trust with the customer
Describe and promote products in line with every customer's needs
Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
Perform rental tech duties as needed
Previous retail sales experience - required
Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry
Previous snow sport industry experience - preferred
Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurately spoken and written English - required
Commitment to exceptional customer service
Basic computer skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends - required
