As Team Lead of Training you are the strategic leader of all training for the Product Sales & Services (PSS) Department. You are the owner of PSS training development and will collaborate with the rest of the leadership team in the design and execution of training. Your goal – create a fun, effective training environment that allows the team to be successful at every level.

Training responsibilities include:

  • Create a fun, positive and professional training experience

  • Have comprehensive understanding of all products, service initiatives and sales processes

  • Design, lead, and coordinate training for front line staff and supervisors

  • Adapt training outlines and presentations to meet the needs of the given audience

  • Cultivate a team of PSS members to assist with/lead training sessions

  • Integrate evolving products and processes into on-going training

  • Promote, embrace and adhere to Vail Resorts’ Mission and Core Values

  • Collaborate on company-wide training initiatives

PSS Team Lead duties may include:

  • Work on the frontline and support team members as needed

  • Handle high volume of guest interaction while delivering exceptional service with a positive attitude

  • Be authentic, effective and efficient while processing sales transactions

  • Professionally resolve and elevate guest service opportunities

  • Take initiative to improve operations and experiences

  • Perform other duties as appropriate

Professional Requirements:

  • Passionate about guest service and the hospitality/ski and snowboard industry

  • Be organized, accountable, responsible, and punctual

  • Enthusiastic and engaging personality with exceptional communication skills

  • Ability to develop a quick rapport with internal and external guests

  • Four plus years of guest service experience

  • Previous Vail Resorts experience with PSS RPOS and Guest Connect capability

  • Prior supervisory experience; previous employee trainer experience preferred

  • Proficient on Microsoft applications with above average typing skills

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred

  • Aptitude to communicate fluently and effectively in English

  • Ability to stay calm and perform well in busy and stressful situations
