Stowe Mountain Resort is actively seeking a Catering Sales & Service Coordinator to plan, execute, and coordinates social events (reunions, anniversaries, religious celebrations, local fund raising events, etc.) with a primary focus on local and destination weddings for all resort venues. The ideal candidate will act as liaison between the resort and the customer – using empathy, listening skills, negotiation, creativity and product knowledge to deliver an extraordinary customer experience and an experience of a lifetime.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior service to customers and associates at all times.

  • Plan, coordinate and recommend food and beverage services, recreation activities, offsite events for a diverse range of social/wedding related functions. Make suggestions, use creativity, bring in experts and brainstorm with the prospective client for how to turn an event into an unforgettable experience.

  • Meet with prospective clients/couples to plan and confirm events, assist with menu selection and pricing based on budget.

  • Work with internal departments for internal meetings/events

  • Enhance revenues through upselling all lines of business in the resort.

  • Responsible for assistance in execution of local customer events including familiarization trips.

  • Create sales reports/BEO’s.

  • Tracking departmental budget including expense reports, forecasting and bill payment.

  • Organizes and keeps information in shared sales network folders or in the sales systems including contracts and other information as needed.

  • Coordinates turnover process from sales to service/ops teams for groups and catering events.


  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

  • Strong computer skills including excel; knowledge of Delphi/Salesforce system preferred.

  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, financial planning and analysis skills.

  • Highly organized with strong time management instincts.

  • Must demonstrate high degree of energy and self-motivation.Must be DLC (Vermont Department of Liquor Control) certified prior to the beginning of the first assigned shift.
