The General Manager provides an entrepreneurial spirit & personality in the operation by bringing organizational skills, leadership and a warm friendly presence in the full-service restaurant. Responsible for the daily operation of a food and beverage outlet, including but not limited to planning, directing, and organizing staff. A crucial part of this position is to create new and retain existing clientele.

Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and separating food service personnel.

  • Responsible for the accurate completion of daily reporting and cash drops.

  • Responsible for ordering and receiving product and completing monthly inventories in allotted time.

  • Ensures that all sanitation and safety policies are being enforced.

  • Monitors the preparation and presentation of all food and beverage served.

  • Monitors and maintains Starbucks promotional sets and retail products in a rubost display at all times.

  • Follow Starbucks training guidelines with all staff members at both the onboarding and on going developments stages of individual careers,

  • Maintains all cash and company assets in a secure manner.

  • Complete, verify and submit payroll accurately and on time.

  • Monitors all costs and maintains cost of sales, labor, operating and overhead expenses within budgeted guidelines.

  • Responsible for achieving guest service goals.

  • Maintain facilities and equipment in good condition.

  • Hires, motivates, evaluates, and directs staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives. Ensures that all employees receive the training, support, guidance, feedback, and resources necessary.

  • Directs staff in meeting quality standards and food handling and preparation, safety and sanitation.

  • Delegate responsibility, motivate, and lead to achieve goals and objectives.

  • Familiarity with state and federal environmental standards and OSHA regulations.

  • Understanding of corporate and resort specific policies and procedures.

  • Performs job performance evaluation by observing employees’ daily job performance.

  • Help with opening and closing procedures.

  • Maintain a friendly, team spirit with a focus on guest service.

  • Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.

  • Responsible for providing quality guest experiences within resort operations.

  • Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.

  • Monitor guest feedback social media sites such as yelp, pinterest and trip advisor.

  • Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.

  • Complete the Starbucks required Advanced Store TrainingRequirements:

  • ­­­5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and to perform strenuous physical labor in inclement weather conditions.

  • Flexible working hours, including holidays and weekends.
