Ticket / Product Sales Agent – FT & PT Summer Seasonal – Northstar California

The Ticket/Product Sales Agent is a part of the Product Sales & Service Department. This position is responsible for satisfying and exceeding guest expectations by delivering outstanding guest experiences. The Product Sales & Service Department is a high-volume sales department with a large amount of guest interaction.

This position can be located at any of the following locations:

  1. Tickets & Season Pass Office - This location primarily sells tickets, season passes, and summer activities. It is also the guest service and information center for Northstar. Candidates should have the ability to retain a significant amount of information.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sell tickets, season passes, lessons, etc.

  • Deliver exceptional guest service to internal and external guests.

  • Provide accurate resort, village, and local information to the guest.

  • Display accurate cash handling skills, perform daily sales and close procedures while following company and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Communicate in a courteous and respectful manner to all internal and external guests.

  • Adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the resolution of all guest complaints; handle all guest concerns and suggestions.

  • Establish personal strengths and areas of focus through self-assessment and on-going training and feedback from the Northstar Management Team; participate in all departmental and resort training and development courses.

  • Actively work in all areas of Product Sales and Service and/or in any areas of the Northstar Resort.

  • Data entry.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Windows

  • Strong communication skills; must be able to use proper English and grammar in speech and writing at all times

  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure

  • Able to work independently and demonstrate team spirit

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must enjoy working with people of all ages

  • Ability to learn and speak intelligently about ALL of the resort products offered

 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous guest service experience preferred

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Prior experience with Resort POS software preferred; at minimum, a desire to learn and master the various modules and the products they contain

  • Prior cash handling experience preferred

Candidates will be placed in the appropriate position based upon their experience level.
