The Assistant Front Office Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the front office including front desk, bell stand, ice rink and concierge to provide the highest standards of genuine and courteous service while exceeding hotel profit expectations. Communicates effectively and delivers clear direction to staff. Will also administer progressive disciplinary procedures for front office staff to ensure the highest standards of quality are met for the Arrabelle and its guests. Owns, elevates and personalizes all guest interactions while focusing on customer service by taking action and resolving guest issues through positive interactions.
Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Act as hotel Manager on Duty and appease guest issues as best fit for the guest and the resort.
Interview, hire, train, coach and discipline employees when necessary as it is fit the hotel operation.
Assist the accounting department in resolving billing issues on guest folios.
Collaborate with the Front Desk Supervisor and Front Office Manager to ensure employees in the Front Office are performing their daily tasks according to Arrabelle Standards.
Monitor room blocks on a daily basis to maximize revenue, prevent overbooking and ensure proper room availability and reservations.
Ensuring good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel, and proper emergency and safety procedures are followed.
Completes all special projects as requested by Front Office Manager, Director of Operations, and General Manager.
Develops strong working relationships with other department managers and directors to ensure communication and teamwork is at an optimum.
Reviews current day's expected arrivals and checks all VIP and special request reservations to ensure that they are pre-registered.
Input and approve payroll on a weekly basis.
HS diploma required. College Degree in hospitality or business related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of Front Desk experience in a property of similar size and quality.
One year supervisory experience required; previous front desk or hospitality experience as supervisor or manager preferred.
CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.
Microsoft Office, Property Management Systems (LMS preferred), General Computing.
Ability to communicate in English effectively in both written and verbal mediums.
Ability to present detailed information, and represent the Front Office in hotel meetings and forums to gain information to drive value within the department.
Ability to speak multiple languages including Spanish and more - preferred
