Job Summary:

This position oversees all aspects of the operation of the Advanced Sales Centre which is responsible for:

  • Fulfilling all regional, tour + travel, group, corporate, resort partner and internal ticketing, voucher and gift card requirements

  • Fulfilling lesson and rental packages for FAMs and groups

  • Working closely with our clients as well as our own Sales, Finance, IT and Event departments, and responsible for the supervision of all Advanced Sales Centre Hosts and Senior Hosts.

Duties:

  • To be an active member of the Guest Service supervisory team, supporting peers & continually working at building a cohesive team which works together effectively and efficiently; offering suggestions to continually improve overall operations and the work environment

  • To supervise the offices and ensure that all responsibilities and procedures are adhered to and performed accurately

• Creating and implementing seasonal hiring and training plans, scheduling of all staff, and conducting staff meetings and one on ones

• Provide ongoing training and coaching for staff, recognition and discipline congruent with company policies including conducting annual employee reviews

  • Planning regular staff events and FAMs

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Sales, Finance and IT departments and working together to develop fulfilment procedures for new sales campaigns and products

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients both internal and external

  • Budgeting responsibilities including present and future budgets and monthly variance reports

  • Creating and distributing up to date order forms for all clients each season

  • Ensuring all information and procedural changes are effectively communicated to staff through company intranet and staff meetings

  • Providing a safe work environment including conducting monthly safety inspections with an employee representative

  • Being responsible for the security of equipment, cash, tickets and company vehicle

  • Regularly soliciting feedback from staff and guests through the Employee Experience Survey, employee reviews, one on ones and front desk survey

  • Weekly reports to management

  • Special projects and other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory criminal record check.

  • Demonstrate our core values: Safety First, Striving to be The Best, and showing that We Care

  • Always show up on time, in uniform, and adhere to the grooming policy

  • Hold a BC driver’s license

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb products and services

  • Excellent interpersonal and interdepartmental communication skills both written and verbal

  • Team-player, calm, organized, attention to detail, and strong time management skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills

  • Proven strength in problem solving and an ability to make decisions

  • Previous guest service, ticketing and leadership experience an asset

  • Good knowledge of POS systems, Word, Excel and Outlook is an asset

  • Cash handling, accounting and audit experience an asset
