Position Status: Seasonal, Full Time. This is a short term position of 2 months, however includes all the perks of a full time employee such as: bike park/sightseeing pass, food & beverage and retail/rental discounts.
Start Date: July 23rd, 2018
End date: September 28, 2018
This position involves the fulfillment of group activities generated by the Sales Managers in the Group Sales department. You will work closely with the Sales Managers, Advanced Sales Centre Ticketing Hosts, Whistler Blackcomb Catering, Retail Rental, Lodging Ovations, and other business units to ensure the smooth fulfillment of group events. You will also build relationships with external clients including but not limited to, Destination Management Companies, and Wedding Planners. Coordination aspects include, but are not limited to, Catering functions at Whistler Blackcomb venues, sightsee & lift ticket sales, hotel rooms and meeting space at Lodging Ovations, bear viewing, retail/rentals and guides for hiking and biking.

Work with WB Service Managers to assist in all aspects of the event planning process including but not limited to; billing and reconcillation, creating floor plans, entering event order data, delivering ticket orders, assisting on site as needed
Laise, and communicate between all internal mountain departments
Banquet Event Order creation and distribution in Delphi
Special projects as assigned
Highly organized with an emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal & team play skills. Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment.
Knowledge of basic office operational procedures (e-mail, faxing & filing)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Computer experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb products & services an asset but not required
Previous experience in event organizing and procedures is an asset but not required
Previous experience in Sales and/or Hotels is an asset but not required
Knowledge of Delphi.fdc is an asset but not required
Experience with billing or accounting is an asset but not required
Flexible Schedule – availability to work weekends, evenings, as required by events assigned
